Frequently Asked Questions
Find current answers about shipping, returns, sizing, assembly, materials, and product care.
How should I clean fabric carriers and harnesses?
Follow the product-specific care instructions. Empty pockets, remove detachable parts where applicable, close fasteners and let the item dry completely before storage. Avoid harsh cleaners unless the product guide permits them.
Are recovery collars and suits a replacement for veterinary care?
No. Recovery products are intended for supervised supportive use. Follow your veterinarian’s instructions, check fit frequently and stop use if your pet shows distress, rubbing or restricted movement.
How do I choose the right carrier size?
Measure your pet’s body length and sitting height, then compare those measurements and your pet’s weight with the product dimensions. Your pet should be able to settle comfortably without exceeding the stated weight guidance.
Are Paw Haven carriers automatically approved for airline cabins?
No carrier is approved for every airline, aircraft or route. Check the carrier’s external dimensions, then confirm the current pet policy with your airline before booking and again before departure.
What should I check before using a carrier?
Confirm the base is correctly installed, secure every zipper and closure, attach any internal safety tether to a harness rather than a collar, and check ventilation before moving your pet.
How should a harness fit?
Measure the neck and chest where the product guide shows. Adjust for a snug fit that allows about two fingers beneath the strap without letting your pet back out or rotate free.
How do I introduce a cat to a harness?
Start indoors for short sessions. Let your cat investigate the harness, reward calm behavior, then gradually add wearing time before attaching the leash. Never pull or force outdoor movement.
Can I attach a car restraint to my pet’s collar?
Attach vehicle restraints to a correctly fitted harness, not a neck collar. These products help limit movement but are not a substitute for a crash-tested travel system.
What does “in stock” mean on the test storefront?
It means the option is currently available to add to cart and purchase in the test environment. If availability changes before dispatch, support will contact you with the available options.
How quickly are in-stock orders prepared?
In-stock orders are normally checked, packed and prepared within 2 business days. Weekends, public holidays, address checks or unusual order volume can add time.
How are delivery cost and timing confirmed?
Choose your destination at checkout to see the available tracked delivery method, current fee and estimated transit time. Import duties or local carrier charges may apply unless checkout states otherwise.
What is the return window?
You may request a return for an eligible unused item within 30 days of confirmed delivery. Contact support before sending anything back. Used, washed or hygiene-sensitive products may not be returnable.
